(Moores Hill, Ind.) – A South Dearborn Middle School 7th grader is one hot shot.

Well, make that 25 hot shots.

Drew Miller took the state championship in the 13-year-old division of the 2014 Indiana Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The state finals competition was held Saturday, March 9 at St. Theodore Guerin High School in Noblesville.

Miller, of Moores Hill, made all 25 of his free throws to claim the state crown. He needed every one of them, too, because the runner-up made 24 of 25 shots.

For being perfect at the line, Miller will also receive an award recognizing him as an international free throw champion.

Drew’s path to the state championship began when he participated in the Lawrenceburg Knights of Columbus Council 1231 Free Throw Championship at St. Lawrence School on January 11. He made 23 of 25 free throws there to advance to the regional competition in Scottsburg where he sank 24 charity shots.

Miller is the son of Shyra Tedesco.
