(Aurora, Ind.) – An Aurora mother is accused of having heroin and drug paraphernalia in her home with her three children present.
On January 23rd, Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies assisted Southeast Regional Community Corrections at a mobile home on the 11600 block of North Hogan Road.
Inside the home, investigators allegedly found throughout heroin, “cook spoons” and “cook cans” for using the drug, and glass pipes that were used to smoke marijuana. Three children ages 10, 9, and 4 were living there as well.
Police have arrested their mother, Jennifer Ann Lyons, 32.
Also charged in connection with the investigation was Stephen C. Hyser, 28, of Aurora. Deputies allegedly witnessed Hyser attempting to hide the drug items as they searched the home.
Lyons is still in jail as of Tuesday, February 4 charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class D felony), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Class D felony), and three counts of Neglect of a Dependant (Class D felony).
Hyser also remains held on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class D felony), Possession of Paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor), and Visiting a Common Nuisance (Class B misdemeanor).
This is not Lyons’ first run in with the law recently. She was arrested in December accused of aiding a burglary.
