(Osgood, Ind.) – An upcoming event bursting with horsepower in Ripley County will be nationally televised.

The Southeast Indiana F.A.R.M. Club’s 2014 Antique Machinery Show happens at the Ripley County Fairgrounds Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29.

While antique tractors and farm equipment as old as pre-1939 are a big part of the show, there are also truck, tractor, and semi pull competitions.

That’s what NBC Sports Network will focus on when it tapes the Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series in Osgood on the Friday and Saturday nights of the machinery show. The Bluegrass series is considered the finest in sanctioned in championship points pulling.

F.A.R.M. Club president Chuck Heck said the producers will primarily film the competition, but could also show other parts of the show and the town.

The telecast will air on NBC Sports Network on a later date to be announced – likely between July and November, said Heck. The network reaches nearly 100 million U.S. homes.
