News release from Novia CareClinics

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – As a proactive step towards enhancing its employees’ health and wellness, the Southeastern Indiana School Insurance Consortium (SISIC) in collaboration with Novia CareClinics, LLC opened the Lawrenceburg Health and Wellness Center on April 18 and the Batesville Health and Wellness Center on May 2. Two additional locations are expected to open, one in Versailles on May 16 and one in Rushville in late June. The Health and Wellness centers are structured to service nearly 1225 employees, plus their dependents.

Staffed by Novia CareClinice medical professionals, the Health and Wellness Centers provide acute and primary medical care services, generic medications and lab work, all at no cost to clinic patients. As an employer-sponsored clinic, the cost of medical services is paid by SISIC to improve healthy lifestyles and empower employees to work with their health care team to reduce health risks and lower health care costs over the long-term.

As part of Novia CareClinics’ innovative approach to health care, the Health and Wellness Centers provide 20- and 40- minute appointments with doctors to help build relationships and trust that lead to improved care; convenience; online appointment scheduling; health coaching; a 24-hour nurse hotline; health risk assessments; and electronic health records.

According to Stephen Patz, the President of the Consortium, “SISIC had been searching for ways to positively impact the cost of primary medical care for its employees, retirees and their families, and selected Novia as their Health & Wellness Center manager. We believe this is an important step in that effort.”

“The Health and Wellness Center is going to be a valuable benefit for everyone. Good health is such an important part of quality of life. This is a unique way to help lessen the financial burden of the member school corporations, and still delivers employees a new resource for helping them to manage their health,” Patz said.

The Southeastern Indiana School Insurance Consortium consists of nine school corporations: Batesville, South Ripley, Rising Sun, Southeastern Career Center, Sunman-Dearborn, Lawrenceburg, Rush County, Milan and Jac-Cen-Del.

Based in Indianapolis, Novia CareClinics, LLC will have nearly 50 center locations by year end, servicing approximately 90 different sponsoring employers located in Indiana and 7 other states. It focuses on delivering advanced health and wellness to their employees and dependents.
