(Colerain Township, Oh.) - Construction to repair and reconstruct Interstate 275 between the Interstate 74 split and the Colerain Avenue exit in Hamilton County will require nightly lane closures.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says lane closures will be in place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. on eastbound I-275, and from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. on westbound I-275. The lane closures will remain in place through the week of April 20.

Tuesday night, crews implemented a traffic switch in the left lanes of eastbound I-275 at the I-74 interchange.

The lane closures and switches are part of a two-year, $27.9 million project to reconstruct a 5.5 mile stretch of I-275. Work on I-275 between Blue Rock Road and Colerain Avenue will be a resurfacing operation that will include pavement repair and new asphalt. Resurfacing work will also be performed on the ramps to Ronald Reagan Highway and Blue Rock Road.

From I-74 to Blue Rock Road, crews will reconstruct and resurface the highway.

The inside median shoulders will be extended from four feet to six.
