(Highland Heights, Ky.) – Some students were not able to go back to class during the first day of classes at Northern Kentucky University Monday.

A water main break forced the closure of three buildings, including the Student Union, Regents Hall and Albright Health Center, according to NKU student newspaper The Northerner.

The water line had accidentally been broken at a construction site on-campus at Kenton Drive. Water service was restored at around 9:00 p.m.

Classes at NKU are expected to resume as normally scheduled Tuesday.
