NKY Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested In Kansas

(Hebron, Ky.) – A woman suspected of robbing a northern Kentucky bank got as far as Kansas before she was taken into custody.

Sara Gothard, of Cincinnati, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with Robbery 1st degree and Terroristic Threatening 1st degree.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Gothard was traveling in a stolen Ford pickup truck on Interstate 35 in El Dorado, Kansas when she was picked up by Kansas Highway Patrol.

Gothard, 40, is accused of robbing the BB&T Bank on North Bend Road in Hebron on November 2.

Investigators say she presented a demand note to a teller before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Gothard remains in Kansas pending extradition to Boone County.
