OCCF Has Grants, Scholarships To Award
By Mike Perleberg
(Ohio County, Ind.) – Tuesday, October 15 marks the deadline for non-profit organizations to apply for funds in the coming round of grants from the Ohio County Community Foundation.
The foundation awards requests of up to $5,000 to organizations whose programs and projects benefit Ohio County. Non-profit organizations using the same tax ID number may request funding for more than one project, but the total request cannot exceed $5,000.
Applications are due to the Ohio County Community Foundation Office, by the close of business Tuesday. Applications can also be requested by email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
The grant-winning requests will be announced later this year.
The Ohio County Community Foundation is also offering a new scholarship for Ohio County residents seeking professional certification. Qualified applicants can receive a scholarship up to $300. An applicant must be an Ohio County resident for at least one year and meet other criteria to be approved.
The scholarships will be awarded to approved applicants on a first come, first served basis until the allocated funding has been completely used.
More information on the scholarship and non-profit organization grant program can be found at the foundation’s website, www.occfrisingsun.com.
