OCCF Introduces Summer Sizzler Grants

(Ohio County, Ind.) – The summer of 2012 has been a sizzler! The Ohio County Community Foundation would like to invite non-profit organizations whose projects and programs benefit Ohio County to apply for the Summer Sizzler Grant Program. Unrestricted funds from the Ohio County Today and Tomorrow Endowment Fund have been set aside for this one time grant opportunity. Funds must be used for projects or programs outside of the organizations funding capabilities. Applicants may request up to $10,000 and must be able to show proof non-profit tax-exempt status and have a viable fiscal agent. The Summer Sizzler Grant Program is a competitive grant program. One grant in the amount up to $10,000 will be awarded. Grants will not be awarded for projects, programs or equipment committed prior to the award date.


The deadline to apply is Friday, August 24, 2012 at 4:00p.m. Applicants will be required to attend a scheduled interview in the Foundation office during the week of September 10, 2012. The grant award will be announced on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 during the Ohio County Community Foundation Grants Luncheon to be held at noon at the Foundation office. The Ohio County Community Foundation is located at 591 Smart Drive, Rising Sun. It is mandatory that applicants be present at the luncheon for the award announcement.
