Ohio Co. Tourism Accepting 2018 Marketing Grant Proposals

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – The Ohio County Convention, Tourism, and Visitors Commission (Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism) is currently accepting submissions for 2018 Marketing Grants. Grant opportunities are made available to non-profit/501 organizations groups that produce tourism-related events/projects in Rising Sun/Ohio County.

The purpose of the Marketing Grant is to help defray marketing costs for brochures, posters, advertising, signs, banners, etc., that help organizations generate tourism in Rising Sun/Ohio County. Marketing Grants are available for up to $5000 per event/project, however, the Commission does not guarantee funding or subsidy of the full amount requested.

Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism encourages interested organizations to apply to help promote their event(s) and encourage tourism and overnight stays in the county. Grant monies do not have to be paid back to the Commission. Supported events and projects must be held within the Rising Sun/Ohio County limits in 2018.

An application with a complete list of guidelines is available at the Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism Visitors Center, located at 100 S. Walnut Street in Rising Sun, 47040. The deadline to apply is October 31, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.  Mailed applications must also be received by this date/time. Submissions received after this period will be ineligible for funding in 2018.
