One Of Two Las Vegas Shooting Suspects Had Been Arrested In Dearborn Co.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – The couple accused of killing three people in Las Vegas, including two police officers, has ties to Indiana.
One of them had been arrested last year in Dearborn County.
Investigators say husband and wife Jerad and Amanda Miller moved from Lafayette, Indiana to Las Vegas in January. By the time the couple left Indiana, Jerad Miller had accumulated a lengthy criminal record.
According to police records in Tippecanoe County, Jerad Miller has an arrest record dating back to 2007 for criminal recklessness, pointing a firearm, possession, dealing marijuana, and battery.
Miller was arrested in Dearborn County on a warrant out of Tippecanoe County on March 1, 2013, according to jail officials. He had been cited for a traffic violation by Lawrenceburg Police at the time of that arrest.
Las Vegas Police don’t think the Millers specifically targeted officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo prior to the shootings Sunday. Bystander Joseph Wilcox tried to stop the suspects and was shot to death by the couple.
Police cornered the Millers in the back of a Walmart store where they took their own lives. Amanda Miller had shot her husband and then turned the gun on herself.
The couple left behind a note saying “the revolution is beginning.”
On June 7, Jerad Miller posted a message to his Facebook page: “The dawn of a new day. May all of our coming sacrifices be worth it.”
