Open House For New DCH Milan Primary Care Feb. 25

(Milan, Ind.) – The public is invited to an Open House in celebration of the community’s newest healthcare facility, Milan Primary Care. Residents of Milan and the surrounding area are encouraged to stop by the new facility on Tuesday, February 25, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., for a tour and to meet the staff. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a drawing for door prizes.
Milan Primary Care, which is operated by Dearborn County Hospital, is conveniently located on State Route 350, just west of its intersection with State Route 101, next to Subway. New adult and pediatric patients are welcome to the facility. Individuals can be seen for routine or non-emergent care; to receive an injection, such as a flu shot or vaccine; or to have blood drawn or a specimen collected.
Comprising more than 1,700 square feet, Milan Primary Care features five examination/treatment rooms in addition to public and ancillary areas. Patients are cared for at the facility by Amy Works, Family Nurse Practitioner.
Mrs. Works is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has approximately 38 years of hospital nursing experience including more than 20 years as an Emergency Department nurse. For the past 3½ years she has worked in the Dearborn County Hospital Emergency Department as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Assisting Mrs. Works at the facility are Milan area resi dents Bethany Dunn, Team Office Leader, and Angela Hanson, L.P.N.
Patients at Milan Primary Care are seen by appointment Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until noon. Office hours may be adjusted in the future based upon the specific needs of the community.
