ORVC Announces Co-Players Of The Week For Girls & Boys Basketball

(Vevay, Ind.) – There were so many great performances last week that four Ohio River Valley Conference basketball players had to share weekly honors.

The ORVC report for the week of November 20-25 was released on Tuesday.

Switzerland County’s Aleiah Thomas and Shawe Memorial’s Kate Grote were named the ORVC Girls Co-Basketball Players of the Week.

Thomas put on a brilliant performance against North Decatur with 32 points and 10 rebounds. The Lady Pacers star was great from distance with six three pointers.

Grote led the Lady Hilltoppers to a pair of wins last week, totaling 59 points, 16 steals, 11 rebounds and 9 assists.

The ORVC Boys Basketball Co-Players of the Week are South Ripley’s Dillan McQueen and Southwestern’s Tyler Kramer.

McQueen averaged 24.5 points over a two game stretch last week. Kramer was equally impressive averaging 22.5 points in as many games.

Megan Hesse (SM) – 32 pts, 28 rebs, 5 ast in 2 games

Brent Turner (RS) – 21 pts, 20 rebs, 3 ast, 3 stl in 2 games
