The City of Lawrenceburg and Perfect North Slopes are hosting a parade and celebration Saturday, March 8 for Nick Goepper.

The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of High and Walnut Street in downtown Lawrenceburg, cross US. 50, and conclude at Lawrenceburg High School.

A celebration in the Lawrenceburg High School gym will include a special announcement by the Dearborn County Commissioners and presentations by Lawrenceburg Mayor Dennis Carr, Hollywood Casino and Perfect North Slopes.

Local resident and WLW Radio personality, Jim Scott will be the emcee for the event. George Vogel, WLW TV Sportscaster, will conduct an interview with Goepper.

“I appreciate all the good fortune that has come my way and it is part of my personal mission to look for ways to give back to others,” said Goepper. Goepper has two close friends who have been affected by Cystic Fibrosis and Diabetes. United Community Bank will be accepting monetary donations for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the American Diabetes Association. Goepper will be signing autographs at the event.
