(Dearborn County, Ind.) – A mother and father, both under 21, are accused of getting drunk and neglecting their disabled child.

Dearborn County deputies were called to a home on Huesman Road for a possible domestic situation on Saturday, May 24. They found Krissi Shirk, 19, at a neighbor’s home. She claimed her boyfriend, Dillan Krueger, 20, was acting crazy.

Deputies could hear Krueger screaming obscenities from several hundred yards away. He quieted down after officers threatened to tase him.

Krueger was allegedly found to have a blood alcohol content of .16. Shirk’s BAC was .222, according to a court affidavit.

Deputies said the couple should have been caring for their three-year-old son who is paralyzed and requires a catheter which needs to be changed by a caregiver.

Krueger and Shirk were each arrested and charged with Neglect of a Dependant (Class D felony) and Alcohol-Minor Transporting, Possessing and/or Consuming (Class C misdemeanor). Krueger faces an additional charge of Disorderly Conduct (Class B misdemeanor).
