UPDATE: Arrest Made In Patriot Store Robbery

An arrest has been made in the robbery of Fisk’s General Store in Patriot.
The store became a crime scene at around noon Wednesday when a man came to the register to purchase an item. When the store clerk opened the cash drawer after ringing up the price the suspect grabbed a handful of money from the cash register and ran out the door.
Indiana State Police began to investigate the robbery and learned that the suspect, Justin Gosciniak may be in the Cincinnati area. Troopers traveled to the city and arrested the 30-year-old Switzerland County resident at the Rest Inn Motel on Central Parkway.
Troopers were assisted by Cincinnati Police and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
Gosciniak is currently held in the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting extradition to Indiana to face charges in the Patriot robbery.
State police did not say if Gosciniak may be connected to a similar robbery at the K&K Mini Mart in Lawrenceburg on July 25.

(Patriot, Ind.) – Indiana State Police and Switzerland County authorities are investigating a robbery at a store.
The robbery occurred at around noon at Fisk’s General Store on Main Street in Patriot, according to ISP Sgt. Noel Houze.
The suspect is preliminarily described as a tall, white male with blonde hair. He fled the scene in a red pickup truck.
Further details on the reported robbery could be released by state police later Wednesday.
