UPDATE: Lawrenceburg Woman Ejected, Injured In Crash On S.R. 46

Update published at 3:17 p.m.:
A Lawrenceburg woman was injured following a crash which caused her to be ejected from her vehicle Wednesday morning.
According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, a 2002 Chevrolet Tracker driven by Alisha L. Haynes, was traveling westbound on State Road 46 when she lost control of her vehicle near Short Lane.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned down an embankment, ejecting Haynes from the vehicle.
Haynes, 26, was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital for treatment. Her injuries were not disclosed.
Police say roadway conditions are believed to be a contributing factor.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – On a morning that has seen its share of slide-off accidents due to black ice on local roads, Dearborn County authorities are responding to a serious vehicle wreck on State Road 46.
A vehicle reportedly overturned, ejecting an occupant, on S.R. 46 at Short Lane near St. Leon at around 8:20 a.m.
At least one person was injured. Air Care was requested to transport the patient, but was unavailable to fly due to weather.
The accident could affect traffic on S.R. 46 as staff and students head to classes at nearby East Central High School and Sunman-Dearborn Middle School. Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools are on a two-hour delay Wednesday due to the icy roads.
