(Franklin County, Ind.) – Police in Franklin County say alcohol is a factor in a crash that sent the driver to the hospital early Sunday morning.

Deputies said Guy Heath, 79, was operating a 2010 Ford Mustang westbound on U.S. 52 just west of Little Cedar Road when he lost control of his vehicle in a curve. The vehicle continued into a ditch where it rolled at least once before coming to a rest.

Heath was taken by ambulance to Fayette Regional Hospital to be treated for his injuries, the severity of which were not detailed.

The accident is still under investigation by the sheriff’s department.

Deputies were assisted at the scene by Brookville Police, Brookville Fire Department, Cedar Grove Fire Department, Rescue 24, and Brookville EMS.
