(Madison, Ind.) – A man on a moped was arrested for drug possession.

Jason C. Jones, of Vevay, was stopped by police while driving an unregistered moped in Madison on Friday, August 4, according to The Madison Courier.

As the officer was writing Jones a warning for the vehicle registration, he asked Jones about the contents of a plastic bag in his pocket. Jones allegedly threw the bag onto the hood of the officer’s cruiser.

The bag contained 13 pills later identified as acetaminophen and hydrocodone.

Officers’ search of Jones led to the discovery of a pop bottle lid with brown residue which Jones called speed. A syringe, which tested positive for methamphetamine, was located in a backpack

Jones was arrested on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine (level 6 felony) and Unlawful Possession of a Hypodermic Needle (level 6 felony).
