Police ID Suspect In High-Speed Chase; Seek Info On Whereabouts

(North Bend, Oh.) – Police in Ohio have identified the driver who allegedly led a high speed police pursuit from Lawrenceburg to North Bend on Monday.
The chase began on U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg as officers tried to stop a U-Haul pickup truck suspected in a theft of scrap metal. The driver sped off at speeds over 100 MPH before crashing on Congress Green Road in North Bend about 15 minutes after the chase began, with the driver escaping by fleeing on foot into some woods.
On Tuesday, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office said the wanted driver is Brandon Ripple, 33. He is believed to be in the tri-state and remains at-large.
Ripple is accused in Ohio of Failure to Comply and has warrants out for his arrest for previous traffic related offenses. He could also face charges in Indiana.
The Sheriff’s Office is asking that anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of Brandon Ripple is asked to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Section at (513)-851-6000.
