UPDATE: Two Men Arrested Following Police Pursuit In Ripley Co.

Update published at 4:20 p.m.:
Two men were arrested following a lengthy police pursuit in Ripley County.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles says the chase began at 9:11 a.m. after troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 1995 Ford Mustang on State Road 350, just west of Milan.
The driver, Tyler Petro, 22, of West Harrison, allegedly refused to stop the vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed.
Petro would lead troopers and officers from numerous other agencies on a chase that covered several roads in Ripley County, including State Roads, 129, 48, 101, and 350.
Troopers would eventually disable the vehicle with stop sticks on State Road 129 near Prattsburg Road.
Petro and a male passenger, Samuel Thompson, 20, of Sunman, then fled on foot. Both were eventually taken into custody and transported to the Ripley County Jail.
Both men face one count of Resisting Law Enforcement on Foot. Petro was also charged with Resisting Law Enforcement in a Vehicle.

(Ripley County, Ind.) – A police pursuit through Ripley County ended with an arrest Wednesday morning.
The chase occurred just before 10:00 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing at least one leg of the pursuit on State Road 129 in Delaware.
Indiana State Police Sgt. Stephen Wheeles says the suspect was apprehended. More information could be forthcoming.
According to an email sent to parents at Milan Community Schools, school officials were preparing to go on a precautionary lockdown due to the pursuit, but ended the procedure when they learned that the suspect had been apprehended.
