(Franklin County, Ind.) – Franklin County police accuse a man of committing home improvement fraud.

A so-called handyman approached two residents in September of last year, offering to do work on homes in exchange for half the payment up front. However, he would allegedly never return to do the job.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department says its investigation began in early May. They identified the perpetrator as James L. Mosley, of Waterloo, Indiana.

The sheriff’s department is asking other residents who may have been victimized by Mosley to contact the department at (765) 647-4138.

Criminal charges have not been filed against Mosley in Franklin County court as of Tuesday.
