Poll: Trump Maintains Lead Over Clinton In Indiana
By Travis Thayer
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – A new poll shows a majority of Indiana voters are ready to “Make America Great Again.”
A WISH-TV/Ball State Hoosier Survey released Thursday shows Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump with a six-point lead over Democrat Hillary Clinton in Indiana, 43 to 37 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson is getting nine percent support. Seven percent said they are undecided.
Trump’s current six-point lead is up one percent from a similar poll conducted on October 7.
According to the survey, 30 percent of Indiana voters said Indiana Governor Mike Pence’s presence on the ticket makes them more likely to vote for Trump. However, 45 percent said it makes no difference.
Trump’s lead in Indiana is surprising considering 50 percent of those surveyed said Clinton is more qualified to serve as POTUS. Just 37 percent chose Trump.
Among the top issues Hoosier voters are focusing on include the economy and who gets to name Supreme Court Justices.
