Raffle Will Benefit Spurlock Twins’ Family
By Mike Perleberg
(Aurora, Ind.) – A construction company wants to help a family rebuild after going through an unimaginable tragedy.
Twin two-year-olds Shaylyn and Jocelyn Spurlock died April 8 after sneaking out of their home on Dutch Hollow Road in Aurora and drowning in a water-filled swimming pool cover. The daughters of Brad and Brea Spurlock were laid to rest on Saturday.
Aurora-based Jent Construction and Property Management has organized a fundraiser in an effort to help the Spurlocks, says Ron Disbro with Jent Construction. The company is holding a roof raffle with all proceeds being donated to the family.
Four-hundred raffle tickets will be sold for $20 each. A drawing will be held once all the tickets are sold. One winner selected in that drawing will receive a free roof upgrade for up to 2,200 square feet.
Disbro says Jent is hoping to at least match what the Aurora Fire Department donated to the Spurlocks last week.
Tickets can be purchased by calling Jent Construction at (812) 926-1311, contacting the company on Facebook, or visiting any United Community Bank branch.
