(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Dearborn County residents are warned about a door-to-door salesperson selling a product at an 88 percent markup.

County Recorder Glenn Wright says his office has received complaints about a salesperson offering to provide residents a copy of their property deed for $88.

The deeds, Wright says, can be obtained at the Dearborn County Courthouse for only the cost of the copy paper: $1 a page.

Dearborn County property owners with questions about obtaining their property deed can contact the Dearborn County Recorder’s Office at (812) 537-8837.
