(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg High School football star Austin Bowling is an all-star.

The senior Tiger has been named a member of the South team for the 51st Indiana Football Coaches Association North-South All-Star Football Classic. Bowling has been invited to play with the state’s best seniors at the game on Friday, July 14 at North Central High School in Indianapolis.

Last fall, Bowling set a new Lawrenceburg High School record and led the entire state with 3,165 rushing yards and 52 touchdowns. Running behind a great offensive line, the Red Rhino helped the Tigers become the 2016 IHSAA Class 3A State Runner-Up.

Bowling committed to play football at Cincinnati Christian University, a NAIA program, in February.

The all-star nod isn’t the only postseason honor Austin has received. He has also been named to the Associated Press Class 3A All-State Team, the IFCA Region 10 All-Star Team, and Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference 3A Division Offensive MVP.
