(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Catching fish has become second nature for Reid Strobl.

The Lawrenceburg High School graduate and Dallas Baptist University freshman, along with his teammate Ryan Wood, were recently named the 2017 Arkansas Collegiate Series (ACS) Team of the Year.

The ACS is a fall tournament circuit open to all full-time students, even from out of state. Teams must compete in at least two of three qualifiers to gain entry into the two-day ACS Championship.

Strobl and Wood were among 26 teams to qualify, finishing the qualifying rounds in first-place.

The DBU duo competed in all three qualifiers at Quachita, Arkansas River Pine Bluff and Bull Shoals. Strobl and Wood caught a total of 14 fish at 30.07 pounds.

As ACS Team of the Year, Strobl and Wood will launch first at the ACS Championship on December 203 at Lake Dardanelle in Russellville, Arkansas.
