Press release from Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series
(Ripley County, Ind.) – Osgood, Indiana will be seen in over 85 million households starting next Tuesday, August 26, and the next three weeks afterwards at 3:30pm EST. The television coverage was filmed this past June when the Howes Lube/Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series hosted a major truck and tractor pulling event at the Ripley County Fairgrounds. The pull was a part of the F.A.R.M. Club’s annual Antique Tractor Show.
“This is great for the entire community, and now the nation will know about how great things are in Osgood,” said F.A.R.M. Club’s spokesman Chuck Heck. “As far as we know, the pull was the largest event ever held at the Ripley County Fairgrounds, and now everyone can enjoy the pull again, or for the first time if they missed it this past June”.
The television shows will feature coverage of all the pulling action that took place on the Saturday night event. The shows also features interviews with Ripley County Tourism, and the local REMC. Also in the shows are several shots of the town of Osgood, including local favorites such as the Damm Theater, and the Osgood Grub.
“We wanted the shows to feature not just the great pulling action, but to also showcase the city of Osgood, and we think everyone will like what they see,” commented Heck.
The pulling action that will be covered is a part of the Howes Lube/Battle of the Bluegrass Pulling Series. The Series sanctions over 50 events a year and is the largest regional pulling series in the United States. “We had a tremendous crowd on Saturday night, and look to return next year with an even bigger show” said Battle of the Bluegrass CEO, Tom McConnell. “The shows really show how exciting the pulls were in Osgood this year and fans will see Diesel Trucks, Semis, Outlaw Super Stock Tractors and much, much more.”
