highway-light-reflector-08222014(Undated) – More than 38,000 new nighttime light reflectors are going to be installed on interstates across southern Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Transportation’s Seymour District announced Thursday that the reflective pavement markers – or RPMs – will be placed on interstates including I-74 from Indianapolis to Cincinnati as well as I-275 and its ramp to U.S. 50 in Greendale.

Other highways getting the new reflectors are I-64, I-65, and I-264 from Indianapolis to Louisville.

The project will begin on Sunday night, August 24, weather permitting. The crews will continue working night shifts through late September.

According to INDOT, M.A.S. Markers, Inc., of Lebanon is the contractor for this $200,672 District Pavement Markings project. It includes replacement of 580 snowplowable RPM lens receptacles.
