UPDATE: Runaway Dearborn County Teen Located, Returned Home

Update published Tuesday, May 31 at 1:07 p.m.:

Missing juvenile Matthew Oberting was located Friday morning, May 27 and returned back to his family.

Deputy Brian Jansen said the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department thanks the public and media for all their help locating Oberting.

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department is asking assistance from the public in locating a runaway juvenile.

Matthew Lee Oberting, 14, was last seen on Saturday morning, May 21, 2016 at around 3:00 a.m. at a residence on Home City Avenue in the Sayler Park area near Cincinnati, according to DCSD Public Information Officer Deputy Brian Jansen.

Oberting is a white male, 6’ 0”, with a thin build, short blonde hair and blue eyes.

Matthew’s mother, Amanda House, says her son attends Jac-Cen-Del High School, lives in Manchester, and has ties to Lawrenceburg.
