SEIRD Will Dispose Of Your Hazardous Waste

SEIRD(Undated) – The Southeastern Indiana Recycling District (SEIRD) announces the summer dates and times for its free Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) disposal across their seven-county district of Franklin, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley, Scott, and Switzerland Counties in Indiana.


When improperly disposed of, HHW can create potential risks to people and the environment including ground and water supplies. HHW materials are considered household cleaners; enamel-based paints and stains (no latex or latex/enamel mixed products accepted); pesticides; insecticides; automotive products such as oil and antifreeze; arts & crafts-related solvents and thinners; florescent tubes and bulbs; and more. A complete list of accepted HHW products can be found on the SEIRD website at www.siswd.com. Only products with their original labels attached can be accepted.
