(Greendale, Ind.) – Although they allowed Perfect North Slopes to open for the season, the a dusting of snow and cold temperatures also caused some less than fun traffic problems on Saturday.

Interstate 275 from Kilby Road to Florence was the scene of a number of wrecks as ice formed on the highway. Most, if not all, of those crashes were minor spin-offs.

I-275 had to be closed at the Indiana-Ohio border Saturday night until road crews could get there to lay down salt.

Dearborn County authorities responded to at least five crashes between noon Saturday and Sunday morning.
