(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn Community Schools are getting the ball rolling on the search for a new superintendent.

Current superintendent Dr. John Mehrle announced in 2015 that he would retire at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year.

As Mehrle enters the final year of his contract, the SDCSC Board of Trustees is beginning the search for the district’s next top administrator. At their regular monthly meeting on Monday, the school board will consider enlisting a search firm to help find a new superintendent.

The board meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the SDCSC Administration Office in Aurora.
