(Aurora, Ind.) – South Dearborn Community Schools are getting the ball rolling on the search for a new superintendent.

Current superintendent Dr. John Mehrle announced in 2015 that he would retire at the conclusion of the 2017-2018 school year.

As Mehrle enters the final year of his contract, the SDCSC Board of Trustees is beginning the search for the districtโ€™s next top administrator. At their regular monthly meeting on Monday, the school board will consider enlisting a search firm to help find a new superintendent.

The board meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the SDCSC Administration Office in Aurora.
