State Rep. Ziemke Files For Re-Election

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Another member of southeastern Indiana’s contingent at the Statehouse has filed for re-election.
State Representative Cindy Ziemke represents House District 55 in the Indiana House of Representatives. District 55 includes portions of Rush, Fayette, Franklin, Decatur and Ripley counties.
In an announcement Tuesday, the Republican from Batesville said she will seek a fourth term in the House. She will run in the GOP primary election in May.
Ziemke is currently vice chair of the House Committee on Family, Children and Human Affairs. She also serves on the Public Health and Courts and Criminal Code committees.
The owner of the Brau Haus restaurant in Oldenburg with her husband Tim, the lawmaker touts her small business experience. The couple have two grown children.
Ziemke is a member of several organizations including the National Federation of Independent Business and the Batesville Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
