State Senate Candidate Perfect Gains Chamber Endorsement

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Indiana Chamber of Commerce announced Wednesday that it will be endorsing Perfect North Slopes owner Chip Perfect for the Republican nomination in Indiana Senate District 43.
Perfect will be running in the May 6 primary against fellow Republicans Bill McDonald, of Ripley County, and Mark Schneider, of Columbus. The winner will likely face Dearborn County Democrat Rudy Howard, the only member of his party on the primary ballot, in the November general election.

The endorsement was made by the Indiana Business for Responsive Government, a non-partisan political program of the Indiana Chamber.
In a press release, Perfect said he was pleased to receive the chamber’s endorsement.
“I agree with the Chamber of Commerce that free enterprise, reducing excessive regulations and having a topnotch education system are all critically important to Hoosier prosperity,” said Perfect.
Perfect, of Lawrenceburg, has an extensive business background. In addition to the ski area, he has a handful of other small businesses in Dearborn County, including Greendale Cinema, Lawrenceburg Speedway, and LaRosa’s in Greendale.
The chamber’s endorsement is not the first show of support Perfect has received. Current Senator Johnny Nugent (R-Lawrenceburg), who will be retiring this year, has endorsed Perfect as his replacement. Dearborn County Commissioner Kevin Lynch has also thrown his endorsement to Perfect.
Senate District 43 includes all of Jennings and Ohio counties, as well as sections of Bartholomew, Dearborn, Decatur and Ripley counties.
