State Supt. Hopeful To Campaign Here

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Democrat candidate to lead the Indianas Department of Education will be campaigning in Lawrenceburg on Thursday.


Glenda Ritz is running for State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The 33-year education veteran currently teaches third grade at Crooked Creek School in Indianapolis. She has been endorsed by Democrat gubernatorial candidate John Gregg.


She will have a campaign stop at the Dearborn County Courthouse, 215 W. High Street, at 9:30 a.m. Anybody is welcome to attend.


Afterwards, Rits will head south for a similar event at the Jefferson County Courthhouse in Madison beginning at 11:30 a.m.


Ritz is running against incumbent Republican State Superintendent Tony Bennett on the November ballot.
