Statewide AMBER Alert Issued For One-Month-Old
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The search continues for a one-month-old baby reportedly abducted from the Indianapolis’ west side.
Indianapolis Municipal Police Department issued an AMBER Alert for Delano Wilson Wednesday evening.
The baby’s father told investigators he was walking near the intersection of South Harding and West Henry streets when he was pistol-whipped and robbed by a man and a woman. He allegedly fell to the ground and as he looked up, saw the couple take his son.
The AMBER alert describes the unknown male suspect as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5’6″-5’9″, medium build, short brown hair, wearing a black do-rag, red t-shirt, blue jean shorts, and red, black, and blue tennis shoes.
The woman was described as possibly Hispanic, 25-30 years old, thin build, long brown hair, wearing a green shirt and matching green hoop earrings.
The suspects were last seen driving an older model blue 2000-2003 four-door Ford Taurus.
Anybody with information that can help in recovering baby Delano Wilson is asked to call the IMPD at 1-888-58AMBER.
Why was the amber alert broadcast 9 hours after the kidnapping? 3 times last night between 9:30 and 10 pm, we had to listen to Amber Alerts broadcast thru our cable system. What an iritating and wasteful use of cable that is.
