(Friendship, Ind.) – Police in Ripley County are on the lookout for a man who attempted to break into a home near Friendship Tuesday morning.

At around 9:00 a.m., a resident on South County Road 400 East reported the attempted burglary. The suspect was last seen driving away north towards U.S. 50.

The burglar was driving a newer model, black, two-door compact car with a spoiler. The suspect is described as having a thin build with black hair and wearing a blue and gray shirt, blue jeans, and work boots.

If you can help police locate or identify the suspect, call the Ripley County Sheriff’s Office at (812) 689-5555.

The attempted break-in added to an already busy day for the sheriff’s office. At the time it was reported, deputies were already searching for a suspect who held up a Sunman convenience store.
