Switzerland County Fair “Drags” On Through Saturday

4-h-clover-4h(Switzerland County, Ind.) – The Switzerland County 4-H Fair goes on for three more days.

The fair in Vevay began on Saturday, July 12 and runs through Saturday, July 19. Homemakers’ open class exhibits will be shown each of the final three days.

Thursday’s events include the beef show at 4:00 p.m. A volleyball tournament and truck drags start at 7:00. Eagle 99.3’s Bob Shannon will be there broadcasting live from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Friday’s schedule includes a shooting sports competition at 9:00 a.m., a silly safari at 7:00 p.m., and a sanctioned truck and tractor pull at 7:00 p.m. Saturday highlights will be the 4-H livestock auction and barbecue starting at 3:00 and the mud run at 7:00 p.m.

Chelsea Duvall, daughter of Shonda and Tony Rose and Tim and Toni Young, has been crowned as the Switzerland County 4-H Fair Queen. Duvall is a Purdue University student and summer program assistant for her local 4-H.
