Teens Injured In Wreck After Taking Grandmother’s Car

ambulance-sirens-lights.jpg(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Two unlicensed teenagers were hospitalized following an early morning wreck in which one of the victims was driving their grandmother’s vehicle.

The crash happened at around 12:21 a.m. Tuesday on the 22400 block of Georgetown Road near Bright.

According to the Dearborn County Sheriff’s deputies investigating the crash, two juveniles – reported to both be female – ages 15 and 14 took their grandmother’s car from her residence located on State Line Road. The 15-year-old was driving when the vehicle wrecked off the road and into a utility pole.

The driver was flown to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with bleeding on the brain. As of Tuesday afternoon, she was still in the hospital under sedation.

The 14-year-old passenger was transported to Dearborn County Hospital by Greendale EMS. The passenger suffered a concussion andwas expected to be released from the hospital Tuesday.

Sheriff’s deputies were also assisted at the scene by Hidden Valley Rangers and Bright Fire & EMS.
