(Cleves, Oh.) – A couple students at Three Rivers Elementary School in Cleves are being recognized for their artwork.

Each year, the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission holds a poster contest for its annual Ohio River Sweep. The event on Saturday, June 21 will bring volunteers to help clear trash and debris from nearly 3,000 miles of shoreline from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Cairo, Illinois.

The winners of the poster contest in grades K-12 have been announced by ORSANCO. Three Rivers Elementary first grader Silas Jacob and second grader Olivia Hoinke each won the multi-state competition with their poster designs.

For their winning designs, the two students will each receive $50 cash.
