(Cincinnati, Oh.) – A Dillsboro mother who allegedly overdosed with her boyfriend at a fast food restaurant playground will wait to go on trial.

On March 9, Tamica Jeffers and boyfriend Robert Palmer, also of Dillsboro, made national headlines when they allegedly OD’ed on heroin at a McDonald’s in Green Township.

Children in their care, an eight-year-old girl and five-year-old boy, were with them. Palmer is the girl’s father.

Jeffers, 33, was set to go to trial Monday in Hamilton County court on two misdemeanor counts of Child Endangering. At the last minute, the non-jury trial was postponed until April 21.

Palmer, 37, was found guilty in the same court on March 27. His sentencing is scheduled for April 14.
