Truck Inspections Net No Food Transport Violations

indiana-state-police-cruiser-logo.jpg(West Harrison, Ind.) – No major violations were discovered as Indiana State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement officers stopped trucks at the West Harrison weigh station on Interstate 74.

The officers were looking for compliance with health and safety regulations relating to the transportation of food and agricultural products.

The enforcement effort on May 20 and 21 saw 30 trucks inspected for health and safety compliance as they entered Indiana from Ohio.

The ISP CVE officers were joined in the inspections by the Indiana State Department of Health, Food Safety and Inspection Services, the USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services, Marketing and Regulatory Programs Business Service, Investigation Enforcement Services, and local health departments.
