UPDATE: Two Semis Collide, Close SR 1

Update posted at 3:40 p.m.:

Dispatchers say that one lane of State Road 1 has reopened at the crash scene where two semi trucks collided Tuesday afternoon.

Police on the scene were allowing traffic to pass through in one direction at a time.

Greendale Police are leading the investigation on the crash.

 

Original story posted at 3:15 p.m.:

(Greendale, Ind.) – State Road 1 in Greendale is closed Tuesday afternoon due to a crash involving two semi trucks.

The accident occurred at about 2:50 p.m. on the highway at Georgetown Road when the semi’s heading opposite directions collided.

One of the trucks went over an embankment. The other stopped on the roadway. Dispatchers said minor injuries could be involved.

There is no estimate on when State Road 1 may reopen to traffic.

Yet again another semi accident wake up ppl and ban them off that road that was almost around the time school let's out what if it was a bus instead of a semi or yet innocent ppl just trying to get some where smh
