(Logan Township, Ind.) – A child was reported missing in northern Dearborn County Wednesday night.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department reports Collin Schroder, 7, was last seen on his parents’ estate near Guilford.
According to WLWT-TV, Schroder’s grandfather said Schroeder and his siblings were riding a quad bike and ran out of gas. He said they returned to the house for gas, and at some point during their walk back to the vehicle, his sisters noticed he was missing.
The boy is described as white, 4’6″ inch tall, with sandy blond hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and blue athletic shorts.
The child’s parents told officers they searched their property on Gellert Lane for several hours before calling for help.
Since then, police, firefighters, and EMTs from around the county – Miller-York Fire Department, Bright, Lawrenceburg, and Aurora – have joined the search. Dearborn County Water Rescue crews have been looking in ponds. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department helicopter has been searching from above.
Anybody who might have information on Schroder’s location is urged to call 911 immediately.
