UPDATE: Ritz Visits Southeast Ind. Wednesday

Rising Sun Schools say that State Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz’s appearance in Rising Sun on Wednesday has been cancelled.


Democrat Party organizers say that plans remain in place for Ritz to appear at the Dobell House in Greendale at 5:00 p.m.


A spokesperson for the Indiana Department of Education said that Ritz is still scheduled to appear at the Schilling Center in Brookville for an event by the Brookville and Franklin County Teachers Association. That begins at 7:30 p.m.

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – The top education official in Indiana will be in our area on Wednesday, November 13.


Glenda Ritz is the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, overseeing the Indiana Department of Education and serving as president of the State Board of Education.


Local educators and citizens will be able to bend Ritz’s ear when she appears at Rising Sun High School at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. She’ll then visit at the Dobell House on Ridge Avenue in Greendale at 5:00 p.m.


Ritz will then head to Brookville for a 7:30 p.m. public event at the Schilling Center on Mill Street.
