US News & World Reports: Notre Dame Is Top College In Indiana

(Undated) – The University of Notre Dame is again being ranked as Indiana’s best university.

U.S. News and World Report released its 2018 Best College Rankings on Tuesday. The magazine bases its rankings on several factors, including graduation rates, tuition values and campus activities.

Notre Dame is the 18th best university in the country, clearly the best in Indiana. Purdue is Indiana’s second best university at 56th. Indiana University checked in at number 90.

A number of the state’s smaller universities made the list for best regional schools. Butler University was second among Midwest Regional Universities. Hanover College ranked 112th among national liberal arts colleges.

In Ohio, Miami University and the University of Cincinnati ranked 78th and 133rd, respectively. Miami University was the third best college in Ohio, behind Case Western Reserve University (37th nationally) and Ohio State University Columbus (54th national). UC was fifth in the state. Xavier Univeristy was fifth in regional universities in the midwest.

The University of Kentucky was 133rd nationally, but first in the bluegrass state. University of Louisville was 165th. Northern Kentucky University appeared at 73rd among regional universities in the south.

Princeton University ranked as the nation’s best college in the U.S. News and World Report survey for the seventh straight year. Harvard University, the University of Chicago, and Yale University followed.
