Vandals Tag Mailboxes, Road Signs In Dearborn County

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Several reports of vandalism occurred over the weekend in Dearborn County.

According to the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, several mailboxes were damaged, one or more stop signs were spray painted, and at least one or more highway signs were taken and left at a different location.

Police say they believe the vandalism occurred overnight Saturday into Sunday morning beginning on State Road 48 and spreading to State Road 148 and North Hogan Road and beyond.

One resident that was affected by the vandalism said their mailbox was found knocked over with a rather large highway road construction sign laying over-top the mailbox.
