Vevay Natives Dies After Colorado Motorcycle Accident

(Vevay, Ind.) – A former Vevay resident died in a motorcycle crash in Colorado.

Nathan Paul “Nate” Christman, 36, died Sunday at a hospital in Loveland, Colorado following the Saturday afternoon wreck. Another motorist had pulled out in front of Christman’s motorcycle, causing the collision.

Loveland Police said it appears neither driver was intoxicated. Christman was not wearing a helmet.

Christman was a 1999 graduate of Switzerland County High School. He was a star basketball player and golfer for the Pacers before going to Purdue University to study landscaping.

According to his obituary, Christman was employed with a landscaping company in Fort Collins, Colorado for the past six months.

Christman is survived by two children, his mother and step-father, his father, a brother, a half-brother, a half-sister, and many other relatives.

Visitation for Christman will be held Sunday, September 10 from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the Switzerland County High School gym. Services will be held Monday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Grandview Memorial Gardens on U.S. 421 near Madison.
