Vevay Supporter Laid To Rest Thursday

(Vevay, Ind.) – A woman who was well known and very active in the Vevay community will be laid to rest Thursday.

Toni Kniola died after wrecking her bicycle on Long Run Road near Vevay on Saturday evening.

The 66-year-old was called “Sweetie” by many who knew her.

Kniola’s visitation and funeral take place Thursday morning at Sorrowful Mother of God Church in Vevay.

Toni Kniola was very involved in her community, frequently volunteering at community events. She was a past president and board member of the Hoosier Theater in Vevay, where her family has asked that memorial donation be made. She was also a life member of the Switzerland County Historical Society.

The member of the Switzerland County Republican Women’s Club recently ran for political office as a candidate for Craig Township trustee in Switzerland County.
